My Aged Care & Client Records
The first step to receiving government-subsidised home care is to call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and create a client record. Staff will ask you some questions so they can form a picture of what you need and determine the next steps. They will then register you as a client and create a personalised client record (with your consent).
Good to Know
Having a central client record means you don’t need to keep re-telling your story. Once that’s been done, the staff can organise next steps for a face-to-face assessment. This is all done free of charge.
