The Whiddon Group

The Whiddon Group is a large non-profit organisation providing excellent residential care, independent living and community care services. We were founded by a small group of Freemasons in 1947 and have been providing people-focused services across New South Wales for more than 60 years.

We’re proud of our community connections and are continuing to develop our services in rural and remote areas of New South Wales.
Our goal is to enrich the lives of older people by providing opportunities and choices through our innovative approaches to service.

Volunteers are the backbone of the aged care sector, and more are needed

Tens of thousands of people, of all ages, such as 90-year-old Lily Burns and 20-year-old Charlise Hannagan, volunteer in aged care homes. The Change Makers is the theme for this year’s National Volunteer Week, 15 to 21st May, which celebrates the vital work of volunteers.
