Only in America: new book claims Trump is ‘Commander in Cheat’ – of golf

The US President has long been an avid golfer (pictured) – and a good one at that – playing with the likes of Tiger Woods, Japan’s prime minister Shinzō Abe, and plenty of other famous names.

Now a book by former Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly has accused Trump of being a cheat – with a series of celebrity testimonies to back up the claims.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson is quoted as saying he “clearly saw [Trump] hook a ball into a lake” during their game, while boxer Oscar de la Hoya and musician Alice Cooper also chimed in on Trump’s suspicious habits on the fairway.

Reilly also challenges the President’s claim that he holds a handicap of 2.8 – while Jack Nicklaus, winner of a record 18 major golf titles and generally considered the greatest golfer of all time, has a handicap of 3.4.

His conclusion? “If Trump is a 2.8, Queen Elizabeth is a pole vaulter.”

Now that’s a sport we’d watch.
