Are family members are allowed to sit in on ACAT assessments

Hi there,

Thanks for asking.  Yes family and friends are very welcome to sit in on the ACAT assessment.  If fact, we encourage it.

The ACAT assessment is nothing to fear, but sometimes can feel overwhelming.  Having a support team around definitely helps and may remind the person who is having the ACAT things to mention about what is difficult or troubling them.

Also it is always handy to have more ears listening to next steps and other advice the ACAT team member says.

So to answer you question - yes most definitely.

We hope this helps,
The agedcare101 team.
