Retirement Villages Eastern Adelaide

Why consider retirement living in Eastern Adelaide

Just minutes to the CBD and nestled at the base of the Adelaide Hills, the eastern suburbs of Adelaide really do promise the best of both worlds. The cafés and restaurants of Norwood, directly next to the city, are world-class. Then as you move further east through the city neighbourhoods of Modbury, Magill and Belair towards Inglewood, Ashton and Stirling, suburban housing gives way to rolling greens and national parklands. Modbury offers a major teaching hospital, with the central Royal Adelaide Hospital also within minutes’ drive of retirement villages in the region.

  • Population (as at 2022): 237000
  • 80% Australian citizens and 20% aged 65 or older
  • Summer average temps 16°C min to 29°C max
  • Winter average temps 8°C min to 16°C max
  • Well served by buses with numerous interchanges and a busy urban road network. However Adelaide's train network does not extend into the east.
