The conversations of life

Vale John Clarke

Everyone was saddened this week to hear of the sudden death of John Clarke, best known for his sharply satirical political interviews with fellow comedian Bruce Dawe.

The 68-year-old New Zealand-born comedian and writer kept us laughing for the last 40 years, skewering many of our most famous politicians.

So we couldn’t resist posting this clip of his last episode of Clarke and Dawe, in which he plays beleaguered current Treasurer Scott Morrison.

You can watch it here. Thanks for the laughs John.
