Catholic Healthcare's newest homes nominated for awards

Two Catholic Healthcare aged care homes have been nominated as finalists in the prestigious 2022 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Awards for Excellence.
The recently-opened Holy Spirit Casula and Mackillop House Norwest (pictured), both in Sydney, have been recognised in the Aged Care category, with the winner to be announced on 12 August; both include bright and airy rooms, indoor and outdoor communal areas, a variety of amenities, and sustainability features such as rooftop solar.
According to Bruce Message, Catholic Healthcare General Manager of Property, the recognition allows Catholic Healthcare to benchmark its offerings against the industry’s best of the best.
“This is a proud moment for Catholic Healthcare as the homes were constructed and opened through the ongoing COVID pandemic.
Other finalists include Anglicare’s Porter Lodge in Minto and Uniting Edinglassie Emu Plains, both also in Sydney.
