Why consider aged care in Blue Mountains

The townships of the Blue Mountains – stretching westward from Glenbrook and Springwood through to Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba, Blackheath and beyond – have long been popular with tree-changers and retirees. Beginning less than an hour’s drive or train ride from Sydney, the area offers natural bushland and bush walks, spectacular national park views, rich heritage and history, plentiful local shopping options – as well as established and reliable health and aged care infrastructure. The region’s altitude means that temperatures are usually cooler than nearby Sydney, particularly in the upper mountains villages – Hazelbrook, Lawson and centres further west.
