Foxtel Group brings aged care residents to the MCG for VIP AFL experience

For a group of aged care residents, the chance to watch an AFL game from a corporate box at the MCG was more than just a day out – it was pure joy.
Thanks to Foxtel Group’s community giveback program, residents from Estia Health and Bolton Clarke were recently treated to a luxury game-day experience that they won’t soon forget.
Foxtel’s Tom Enright, National Manager – Health & Corporate, helped organise the event, with recent matches including the Carlton vs Geelong blockbuster and Melbourne vs GWS Giants.
“We were fortunate enough to take another group of residents to the MCG, this time bringing together ladies from Estia Health Epping, Brunswick West, and Geelong,” Estia Health shared on LinkedIn.
The residents – Meg, Alicia, and Wilma – along with their dedicated carers, were chauffeured in private taxis, enjoyed gourmet lunch, and watched the match in comfort from a corporate suite.
“Every detail was thoughtfully arranged,” Estia added. “Our residents were treated like royalty for the day.”
The initiative is part of Foxtel Group’s broader commitment to giving back to the community – particularly to older Australians who have contributed so much to society.
“Corporate partnerships that prioritise giving back to those who’ve given so much truly make a difference,” Estia said.
Other recent outings included:
· Bolton Clarke Claremont Terrace residents enjoying Melbourne vs GWS Giants in March
· A 2023 experience for Montclaire and Camberwell Green residents at the Hawthorn vs Sydney Swans match
These experiences show the power of simple joys, shared moments – and sport – in enriching the lives of older Australians.
