Have your say: first 2024 Aged Care Reforms survey for older people opens for feedback
The Department of Health and Aged Care has announced that it wants people in residential aged care, Home Care Package recipients, the carers, and their families to give their feedback on:
- how well they understand the changes being made to aged care
- how well we inform them about these changes
- how people surveyed would like to receive information from the Department in the future
- if the person surveyed feels the changes to aged care are having a positive impact.
Held twice a year, the previous Aged Care Reforms Survey found the aged care reforms people surveyed were most aware of were:
- the wage increase for aged care workers,
- 24/7 registered nurses in aged care homes, and
- Aged Care Star Ratings.
The people surveyed were less aware of:
- the Council of Elders,
- aged care providers with specialised service offerings, and
- the Aged Care Taskforce.
The Department said people can complete the survey online, over the phone by calling 1800 318 209 or by requesting a paper copy with a reply-paid envelope from [email protected].
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and will close on Friday, 19 April so have your say now.
