Historic estate to become retirement and aged care home

Historic Victorian estate to become new retirement and aged care home (nursing home)
NZ-owned Ryman Healthcare has splashed between $30 and $40 million on the Moondah Estate in Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula.
The site, which had been owned by the University of Melbourne, sits right on the beach at Port Phillip Bay and includes a 42-room mansion, a 95-bed student accommodation, vineyard and private access to a 190m beach.
They plan to turn the Estate into a retirement village with independent living apartments and aged care including specialist dementia care.
It’s their fourth development since coming to Australis in 2014, but with such a prestigious site, this will certainly be their grandest development yet.
