Join the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Council of Elders
If you want to be directly involved in the reform of aged care, the Australian Government wants to hear from you.
It is seeking applications from older Australians to join the Aged Care Council of Elders, with current members’ terms to expire in December.
Applications are sought from older people across Australia with lived experience of aged care. Great applicants will be those who can demonstrate their ability to take key issues to their communities for discussion and bring that feedback back to Government.
People in rural and remote locations and from diverse communities are particularly encouraged to apply.
Membership appointments will be for a term of up to two years, with a proposed commencement date of January 2024.
Applications can be made by visiting here. Applications close COB 28 July.
