New Nambour aged care residents welcomed with refurbished rooms
Sundale’s James Grimes Care Centre on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has taken in new residents from the shuttered McGowan Care Centre in Nambour.
James Grimes, which is going through a million-dollar internal refit, has provided the former McGowan residents with new refurbished spaces, with every resident able to stay in their own private room if they so choose.
According to Sundale CEO Helen Sharpley, the new residents are now in a home with upgraded floors, lights, paint, and joinery.
“I’ve spoken to a number of residents at James Grimes Care Centre and they are thrilled with the upgrades to their rooms. They’re light, bright and have plenty of space.
Bowder Care Centre and Rod Voller Care Centre have taken in the rest of the 35 residents who were moved from the outdated McGowan home when it closed in March.
