SYDWEST MULTICULTURAL SERVICES is the largest multicultural organisation in the Western Sydney region, a leading not-for-profit organisation assisting & empowering culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities for more than 30 years.
SydWest provides quality Aged Care Services to assist people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to live independently in their homes and in the community for as long as possible. Our assistance can include case management, care coordination and facilitation, personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation and diet, continence management, mobility, social support, respite and other support services to meet the needs of seniors, their families and carers.
All SydWest care workers are qualified, trained and competent in a range of critical areas such as person-centred practice, dementia, CALD practice. Our staff are bilingual and bi-cultural, covering a range of cultural backgrounds and languages. You can choose a Care Worker who speaks your language, is sensitive to your cultural needs and is right for you.
In addition to services to support seniors to live independently at home, we offer our Social Support Groups program, with 14 multicultural and language/culture-specific groups. Programs are structured to include centre-based sessions and outings and support clients’ social inclusion and independence.
SydWest’s Seniors Kiosk is available for clients to stay in touch and connected with family and friends with access to computer and internet technology. Help is also available with basic computer training sessions.
