About
Merton Court Hostel
Merton Court Hostel is a 17 bed residential care facility located in the small country town of Denman in the Upper Hunter valley of NSW. Merton Court was opened in 1982 after community groups had worked since 1974 to obtain funding and grants to build the facility for the towns elder residents, enabling them to stay in their own community as they aged.
The facility has been significantly refurbished to cater better for residents with more complex health needs, and is a popular choice for persons eligible for residential aged care or respite care in the local government area. All residents are able to have their own room which all have an ensuite and are air conditioned. Their is a walking path outside which takes you past our raised garden beds where residents can tend to their vege garden, and get their daily exercise. The walking path has resting seats and nice shady trees for the residents to enjoy.
