About
Christophorus House
CHRV has grown over the 29 years it has operated. However, in terms of size in comparison to other retirement villages, CHRV is still relatively small with 23 independent living units. This engenders a community spirit where everyone is valued. CHRV offers a boutique style retirement; with its tranquil gardens, the peace and quiet of the village and proximity to all manner of required services close by (Hornsby has a public and several private hospitals as well as medical centres, shops, clubs, public transport and the like).
CHRV also supports a fully operational Hostel of 24 beds. Hostel entry criteria is based on the ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) assessment as being low care, with Ageing in Place allowing for residents to stay in the Hostel when the time comes for high care support. Many social functions are organised which bring independent living residents together with residents in the Hostel. The Hostel is federally funded and meets stringent legislative requirements as an accredited service provider.
We aim to make retirement living at CHRV as enjoyable and comfortable as possible whilst meeting the dignity of the individual resident as well as their wellbeing in physical, social, psychological and spiritual terms.
I commend to you CHRV and welcome you to our site. Please feel free to ask any questions and / or visit us at 396 Pacific Highway, Hornsby.
