Jill Donaldson has worked in over 50 aged care homes throughout her career as a physiotherapist.
She has also been through the aged care system personally, supporting her mother with dementia.
Through this experience and seeing the journey of others entering aged care, she identified there was a lack of free information available for families going through the aged care process.
Together with her husband Chris Baynes, they built agedcare101.com.au. A website with over 160 pages of step-by-step aged care and home care information.
Agedcare101 also has information on over 1,800 aged care homes and over 1,100 home care providers around Australia.
"Assisting a parent move into aged care is said to be one of the most traumatic events in our lives. I want people to know they're not alone. My focus is to assist every Australian to get the best outcome for their mum or dad by making better decisions today."
