Retirement Villages Southern Downs

Why consider retirement living in Southern Downs

The Southern Downs, part of the larger Darling Downs, is less than two hours south-west of Brisbane, extending further south to the border with NSW. Centred on Warwick and Stanthorpe, the area reaches north towards the garden city of Toowoomba. For those retirees looking to retire to an area with support, towns and cities are also well served by GPs and health clinics. The area experiences surprisingly cool weather for Queensland due to its elevation, though summer days can still be hot – what is known as a subtropical highland climate.
